Earlier this month I posted a <a href=\"\/2008\/06\/04\/popcprn-on-the-run\/\" target=\"_blank\">youtube video of popcorn being popped by cellphones<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a title=\"serious eats\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seriouseats.com\/required_eating\/2008\/06\/cellphone-popcorn-hoax-videos-revealed-as-a-viral-marketing-campaign-cardo-systems.html\" target=\"_blank\">this website<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0 <a title=\"yahoo\" href=\"http:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/blogs\/null\/94863\" target=\"_blank\">this website<\/a>, and <a title=\"boing boing\" href=\"http:\/\/gadgets.boingboing.net\/2008\/06\/12\/cellphone-popcorn-ho.html\" target=\"_blank\">this website<\/a>, the whole thing is a hoax. It turns out that it is just another viral video cruising around the world. The only interesting thing is that it is actually a MARKETING STRATEGY by a bluetooth company called Cardo Systems.
