I imagine it was about there that she noticed the headless, mutilated body twisted in a field, or perhaps she realized that she was staring at repetitive tits and ass emerging from the background as her eyes became adjusted to the onslaught of visual information. Telling too that, despite her distaste, she could not pull herself away, but had to scan the other images first. Discontent, indeed \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Hirschhorn conjures the glossy ease with which pop culture distracts us from seeing disturbing atrocities happening in Iraq.
