They also contain whole wheat, carrots, apples, raisins, oat bran, and pecans. Practically a granola bar. You can eat them all day long and not feel guilty at all (the recipe does call for 1 cup of brown sugar).<\/p>\n<p>Note: These muffins contain eggs, wheat, and nuts.<\/p>\n<p>My friend Sierra recommended these muffins to me; it&#8217;s a very minorly adjusted recipe off the back of Uncle Bob&#8217;s Red Mill Flax Seed Meal package.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flax Muffins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 c flour (whole wheat works)<br \/>\n3\/4 flax<br \/>\n3\/4 oat bran<br \/>\n1 c brown sugar<br \/>\n2 tsp baking soda<br \/>\n1 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp salt<br \/>\n2 tsp cinnamon<br \/>\n1 1\/2 c carrot (shredded)<br \/>\n2 apples (shredded or substitute applesauce &#8211; much faster)<br \/>\n1\/2 raisins (opt- I use golden)<br \/>\n1 cup of nuts chopped<br \/>\n3\/4 c milk (I use soy or almond)<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n1 tsp vanilla<\/p>\n<p>Mix together all the dry ingredients. Add shredded ingredients<br \/>\nCream brown sugar and eggs (and applesauce).
