Here’s a new funny blog to read, rec’d by a woman I’ll always love for her literary taste (Thanks Lisa!): this here<\/a> link will take you to dooce.com’s About Me page. For those of you who will never bother, here is an excerpt:<\/p>\n

“This website chronicles my life from a time when I was single and making a lot of money as a web designer in Los Angeles, to when I was dating the man who would become my husband, to when I lost my job and lived life as an unemployed drunk, to when I married my husband and moved to Utah, to when I became pregnant, to when I threw up and became unbearably swollen during the pregnancy, to the birth, to the aftermath, to the postpartum depression that landed me in a mental hospital. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m better now. ”<\/p>\n

She makes enough with her website to support herself, her kid, and her husband. I wanna do that. Not the being drunk and unemployed or depressed part. But, she writes with a fresh voice and hardcore edge that I like – I’ll have to read further and see how I feel about her mothering. I like that she’s a stay-at-home mom, even if I’m not (anymore). Her eye for design is a definite plus (and the reason I never go back to jane dough’s site – can’t stand lousy design and unreadable fonts). Check out her Mastheads Archives – they are great.
