For instance, I hardly know anything about my grandparents! I&#8217;ve decided to give my parents journals from Bella and Christian in which they can write memories of growing up in Korea. So right now (besides stuffing stockings&#8230;) I am concocting a list of starter sentences that will act as writing prompts throughout the journal. The journal for my mom will be slightly different than the journal for my dad &#8211; but here&#8217;s one list of writing prompts:<\/p>\n<p>My name is Sang Nam Lee. I am your grandfather.<\/p>\n<p>I was born in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The night I was born&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I was born, my parents lived on an apple farm. I was my parents second son. My older brother was named&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember that he used to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Everybody said that he&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I had two sisters too. I did my service as&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I thought it was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Once&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When it was finished, I&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I went to college&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember that&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My closest friends were&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I liked them because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I went to medical school, I often&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>While in school, I made money by&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I lived at&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I would visit my mother and sisters, they would&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We would always&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I met your grandmother for the first time, I remember that she&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember that her parents&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My family was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I decided to specialize in radiation oncology because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I married your grandmother, the ceremony was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember when your mother was born&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We were living&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I decided to move to the United States because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I decided to stay because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What I remember about Columbus, Ohio was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember when your uncle Songbae was born&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>He was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What I remember about Chicaco, Illinois was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I remember when Sue Emo was born&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>She&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d always hoped to have ______ children.<\/p>\n<p>We moved to Virginia, to the Perry Penny Drive townhouse because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We moved to the Rockville house in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What I liked best about living in that house&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I liked being close to Washington DC because&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We went on lots of family camping trips.
