And to be absolutely technical, it was determined that the white meat on the brined turkey and the dark meat of the traditional turkey were the perfect combination. (The brined turkey is on the right.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i108.photobucket.com\/albums\/n18\/womantalk\/DSC00395.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The final table included (note &#8211; not everything is shown!):<\/p>\n<p>brined turkey<\/p>\n<p>traditional turkey<\/p>\n<p>mashed potatos<\/p>\n<p>gravy<\/p>\n<p>cranberry sauce<\/p>\n<p>oyster and chestnut stuffing (+ non-oyster stuffing for Joe)<\/p>\n<p>roasted potatos, butternut squash, turnip, onion, garlic, carrots<\/p>\n<p>corn casserole<\/p>\n<p>brussel sprouts with pecans<\/p>\n<p>pecan sweet potatos<\/p>\n<p>seven-grain rice (Korean)<\/p>\n<p>kakdoogi (turnip kimchi)<\/p>\n<p>punch<\/p>\n<p>and everything was demolished by the eighteen folks here for dinner.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i108.photobucket.com\/albums\/n18\/womantalk\/DSC00404.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(These photos without people do not convey the pirahna-like manner in which the food was devoured.
