Sue doesn&#8217;t <em>look<\/em> so mean, does she?<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i108.photobucket.com\/albums\/n18\/womantalk\/JGSS_2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1. conceived in korea<br \/>\n2. born in Cleveland<br \/>\n3. was told I was afraid of grass as a baby<br \/>\n4. name on birth certificate is songbae<br \/>\n5. best friend was named david<br \/>\n6. when he moved, I told my parents I wanted to be called david<br \/>\n7. I have two sisters<br \/>\n8. one was conceived and born in korea<br \/>\n9. the other was born in Chicago<br \/>\n10. the older one used to beat me up<br \/>\n11. I used to beat up the younger one<br \/>\n12. then I had my growth spurt and beat both of them up<br \/>\n13. I feel bad about that now<br \/>\n14. one of my favorite childhood memories is playing flashlight tag<br \/>\n15. and catching fireflies<br \/>\n16. my favorite july 4th was the first time we got sparklers<br \/>\n17. favorite car we had was a blue VW bug<br \/>\n18. we also had a station wagon<br \/>\n19. I think my head got caught in the back window at least twice<br \/>\n20. I broke my leg the first time I went skiing<br \/>\n21. coming off the ski lift<br \/>\n22. once ran under a slide and hit my head<br \/>\n23. mom carried me to the hospital<br \/>\n24. they said I needed stitches so my mom took me home instead<br \/>\n25. loved the beach when I was in high school<br \/>\n26. now I love the mountains<br \/>\n27. crashed three cars before I got my driver\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s license<br \/>\n28. voted worst driver senior year<br \/>\n29. was also voted class skipper<br \/>\n30. dad also said to travel alone to poor countries<br \/>\n31. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153they may be poor in material wealth but are rich in cultural wealth\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n32. at dinner, dad used to ask us things like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153do you know what NASA stands for?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n33. mom used to make me read books aloud at the kitchen table before going out to play<br \/>\n34. we had Chinese food every Sunday after church<br \/>\n35. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not a big fan of Chinese food anymore<br \/>\n36. spend a summer picking apples on a kibbutz<br \/>\n37. looked into joining peace corps when graduating from college<br \/>\n38. wanted to go to former soviet union and they said I needed an MBA<br \/>\n39. sold encyclopedias in boston<br \/>\n40. ran marine corps marathon<br \/>\n41. planned a trip around the world<br \/>\n42. went through mexico, central America and asia<br \/>\n43. got tired of country hopping and taught English in Korea for one year<br \/>\n44. came back to DC and worked for an insurance company<br \/>\n45. got written up for coming in late too often<br \/>\n46. found next job at hotel company through classifieds<br \/>\n47. decided wanted to become an investment banker<br \/>\n48. my dad said go to grad school before my brain hardens<br \/>\n49. applied to two bschools<br \/>\n50. didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get into the one I wanted<br \/>\n51. applied to peace corps<br \/>\n52. Dad said I could help people after I retire<br \/>\n53. became a business development volunteer in Ukraine<br \/>\n54. was accused of being a spy<br \/>\n55. came back to US a year early<br \/>\n56. volunteered for a homeless resource center<br \/>\n57. applied to three bschools<br \/>\n58. didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get into the ones I wanted<br \/>\n59. got a job in microenterprise lending<br \/>\n60. first job I quit because I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like my boss<br \/>\n61. became washingon director for an immigration advocacy organization<br \/>\n62. applied to 11 business schools<br \/>\n63. got into one I wanted<br \/>\n64. decided I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to do banking anymore<br \/>\n65. got to school and everyone was applying to banks<br \/>\n66. got an summer internship at a bank<br \/>\n67. got an offer<br \/>\n68. didn&#8217;t want to interview anymore so accepted<br \/>\n69. worked there for two years after graduation<br \/>\n70. got another banking job in SF<br \/>\n71. fit everything i took with me in my car<br \/>\n72. this was my third cross country trip<br \/>\n73. first one was a family trip in a camper<br \/>\n74. favorite stop was graceland<br \/>\n75.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s still working on it &#8211; but it&#8217;s a good start, wouldn&#8217;t you say?<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who haven&#8217;t seen my own 100 things list, you can read it <a href=\"http:\/\/womantalk.wordpress.com\/about-2\/100-things-about-me\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Songbae is my brother and for those of you who know my family, you know that he is known as the &#8220;crazy Lee&#8221; (Sue&#8217;s the &#8220;mean Lee&#8221; and I&#8217;m the &#8220;nice Lee&#8221;).
