fall injection of art

I’m looking forward to a couple days in NYC in November, just before Thanksgiving. Right now I’m collecting a list of things I want to see, and Robert Polidori’s photographs of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina at the Met just made the list (thanks to Michael Kimmelman’s article).

It’s a perfect art excursion, because the last time I tried to get into the Met with Chad and Bella I had forgotten I was carrying around a just-purchased case of steak knives and they didn’t really want to let me in.
